Hi, I am Collin Drent.

I am an Assistant Professor of Operations Management in the School of Industrial Engineering of Eindhoven University of Technology. My research focuses on optimal personalized decision-making under uncertainty. I leverage tools from operations research, statistics, and machine learning, with applications in condition-based maintenance and healthcare operations.  My research has won several awards, such as the Van Zwet Award and the Beta Award, and is presently funded by an early career research grant (VENI) from the Dutch Research Council.  I serve on the board of the Dutch OR Society. 

I received my PhD in Applied Mathematics from Eindhoven University of Technology in 2022, where I was fortunate to be advised by Stella Kapodistria, Onno Boxma and Geert-Jan van Houtum.
